Attorney Roberta Winchell is a member of the G. Pierce Webber Society on Philanthropy and recently created an endowment fund to support children. She was a past president of the Bangor Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners and served with memberships in the Junior League of Bangor, Ronald McDonald House Board of Directors, Chair of the Salvation Army Board of Directors, Zonta (a women’s professional organization) and the Bangor Museum and Center for History Board of Directors. Not only has Attorney Winchell taken part in many worthy organizations in the Bangor community, but she has also won multiple awards for her service. Key Bank appointed Roberta Winchell to its national Key4Women Advisory Board for the years of 2009, 2010 and 2011. She was the first woman from the State of Maine to be elected to this National Board and the second woman from New England to be appointed.
In May 2009, Key Bank awarded Attorney Roberta Winchell with its first annual Key4Women Achieve Award. The Achieve Award is given to a woman entrepreneur who successfully executes her business vision; contributes meaningfully to the community; and shows a strong willingness to serve as a model and resource to other women entrepreneurs.
